Communications Department
- Department Structure
The San Andreas Communications/Dispatch department is a department devoted to giving our law enforcement personnel a level of structure & connection when patrolling. The daily ritual for a dispatcher is like no other. All dispatchers have a unique career path and are always excited to give our LEO’s a new day on the job. All dispatchers have dispatch access of the CAD system & can use it to its fullest potential. For the simplicity & small size and demand for the department, we have spent countless months working to revise the department and to give our dispatchers a chance to get in there & start patrolling. Each dispatcher and their role is as impressive as the next.
All dispatchers are responsible for getting our officers to & from scenes, and ensuring all emergency hotlines are answered and responded to. A dispatcher can notify the closest officers of a new scene or call, create a call for a traffic stop, and take 911 calls from civilians. Dispatchers can also do other things that are not so exciting or common like run information in the name and vehicle database, place a signal 100 during a priority, or put out a BOLO for a wanted subject. All dispatchers are taught every skill & technique used for dispatching on an everyday basis.
